Director of Business Development

Job title: Director of Business Development

Location: This is a remote position. However, the candidate should live in an area with a well-established biopharmaceutical industry presence.

Job Description: We are on the lookout for a motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to join our team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and propelling sales growth.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company’s strategic goals.
  2. Business Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
  3. Relationship Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  4. Negotiation: Lead negotiation and contract discussions with clients and partners.

Healthcare Data Science Intern

Job Title: Healthcare Data Science Intern

Location: Remote

Duration: Summer 2024 (Approximately 12 weeks)

Job Description: Polygon Health Analytics LLC is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Data Science Intern for the summer of 2024. As an intern, you will collaborate closely with our experienced data science team to delve into healthcare data, create predictive models, and construct visualization dashboards aimed at enhancing decision-making processes and ultimately improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the development and implementation of machine learning algorithms and statistical models for healthcare data analysis.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and provide data-driven insights.
  3. Contribute to the cleaning, preprocessing, and analysis of both structured and unstructured healthcare data.
  4. Design and develop visualization dashboards tailored for non-technical users.
  5. Document and present findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, or a related field.
  2. Strong proficiency in Python, R, or other data analysis tools.
  3. Familiarity with visualization and machine learning tools and libraries such as RShiny, Python Dash, scikit-learn, and/or PyTorch/FastAI.
  4. Basic understanding of healthcare industry standards and regulations is advantageous.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
