Philadelphia, PA – September 6, 2024 – Polygon Health Analytics LLC (PHA) is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a prestigious $399,985 contract by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to develop a cutting-edge digital platform for Multimodal Cancer Data Analysis.

The contract, which commences on September 12 and spans one year, will see PHA collaborating with renowned pathologist and cancer researcher from Mayo Clinic. This partnership aims to create a prototype digital platform that seamlessly integrates genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, imaging and clinical narrative data, empowering both cancer research and patient care.

Dr. Lixia Yao, President and CEO of PHA, expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating, “This award marks the beginning of an exciting partnership with the NCI. By leveraging our extensive expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) for clinical narrative analysis and our deep knowledge of ontology, common data models, and standards, we aim to unlock the full potential of petabyte-scale heterogeneous cancer data. This will provide invaluable resources for cancer researchers and physicians.”

This collaboration is one of many promising ventures between PHA and the NIH, highlighting PHA’s commitment to advancing cancer research and improving patient outcomes through innovative data analysis solutions.
